Motivational Monday: Rest Is Not Laziness

Speaker 1: For the week with motivation from Lucia Dramas for motivational Manday. I am excited about Speaker 1: this one. This is a conversation I've also had numerous times with so many other Speaker 1: people. How very interesting it is that many people that I speak to team to Speaker 1: find themselves feeling like the laziest people in the world, or incredibly guilty when they Speaker 1: take some time off, or they don't find themselves being occupied all the time or Speaker 1: being productive all the time. And today you want to touch on the fact that Speaker 1: rest is not laziness. It is needed as vital for us to be able to Speaker 1: keep going. Speaker 2: Absolutely. And I think in this hustle culture and I'm so busy and I'm doing Speaker 2: this and I'm doing that, it almost it's like a badge that we were, It's Speaker 2: a badge of honor. I'm the busiest person. Yes, And those very busy people also Speaker 2: find those moments where they hit the exhaustion, where they hit burnout. And so it's Speaker 2: so important to actually rest and not just physically rest, but have that emotional rest Speaker 2: as well. It's no use you physically resting, but you feel so guilty the entire Speaker 2: time that the nervous system is still right up there, doesn't really get the rest Speaker 2: that that period of rest is supposed to give you. Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, so okay, so now how do we make sure we kind of overcome Speaker 1: that period? Speaker 2: Yes, Now, just a quick mind shift. Even looking at athletes, athletes train all the Speaker 2: time. They need to train to…
