No Thank You To Obesity

Speaker 1: So obesity affects millions of people around the world, yet for many, losing weight and Speaker 1: keeping it off is or can feel like an impossible challenge. I know about this Speaker 1: only too well. For those who are regular listeners to the show, you'll know that Speaker 1: I embarked on I don't even want to say a weight loss journey, although I Speaker 1: suppose the byproduct of it was weight loss, but it was, you know, I wanted Speaker 1: to become healthier. At the start of last year, I wanted to move more. I Speaker 1: wanted to make sure that I was able to kind of run around with my Speaker 1: kids, and at the weight I was at, which was over one hundred kilograms, it Speaker 1: wasn't happening. And I knew it was going to impact my health in the future. Speaker 1: I think it already was to some degree, certainly my mobility and how fit I Speaker 1: was. And so I embarked on with our very and Bruce Benjamin, who helped me Speaker 1: get into shape and lose an awful lot of weight over forty kilos thus far. Speaker 1: Now I'm nearing sort of goal wit. The challenge of maintaining has kind of reared Speaker 1: its ugly head, and it's not easy. I'm someone who has lived with disordered eating Speaker 1: essentially since I was what eleven twelve years old. I still suffer with that, the Speaker 1: kind of disordered eating, body image stuff. It's a lot, and I think an awful Speaker 1: lot of us suffer with it as well. I think there's still a stigma around Speaker 1: that. I think there's a stigma around obesity. I…
