Chris Bertish to set sail again to raise funds

Speaker 1: There are very few people who embody courage, resilience and determination quite like my first Speaker 1: guest this morning, Chris Burtish, the South African big wave surfer, adventure and ocean pioneer, Speaker 1: is preparing to once again attempt a feat never before achieved, sailing solo and unsupported Speaker 1: across the Pacific Ocean from California to Hawaii on a modified beach catamaran. Last year, Speaker 1: just a few days into the expedition, Chris made the difficult decision to turn back Speaker 1: after identifying critical safety concerns. But now he's back and ready to head out onto Speaker 1: the ocean again. And while the journey itself is remarkable, it's also being undertaken to Speaker 1: raise awareness and funds for education and environmental conservation projects around the world. Chris arrived Speaker 1: back in South Africa yesterday and we appreciate enormously his time this morning at thirteen Speaker 1: minutes past seven, Chris, good to have you with us.
