Speaker 1: Seven o two Weekend Breakfast Healthy. Speaker 2: It's eleven minutes after six o'clock. Time for us to get the show on the Speaker 2: road, and as always on a Sunday, we started with our Healthy Living conversation. So Speaker 2: a couple of weeks ago I bumped into a piece. It was actually part of Speaker 2: a research report, a bit of research that had been done looking at the impact Speaker 2: of emotional suppression on your actual health, and the finding was quite staggering. It basically Speaker 2: said, if you don't express or process your emotions in a positive way, that can Speaker 2: have very real consequences for you physically in terms of your physical health, it can Speaker 2: make you sick. So we thought, let's have a look at emotional suppression. Why do Speaker 2: we do it and how can we stop doing it? And maybe do you have Speaker 2: a feeling that you are suppressing, maybe you're not feeling safe enough to feel it Speaker 2: or express it. Speaker 1: What is that feeling? Speaker 2: How is it impacting you when you are suppressing those emotions? Speaker 1: Let us know No. Seven two seven oh two one seven oh two. Speaker 2: Joining us now on the line is clinical psychologist Debbie Howse. Debbie, A very good Speaker 2: morning too, Welcome to Weekend Breakfast. Good morning, Thank you for your time. So, Debbie, Speaker 2: before we get into emotional suppression, how should we be making sense or understanding our Speaker 2: emotions.
