Speaker 1: We've been discussing how much money you spend on the pets in your life. It Speaker 1: may be nothing, maybe quite a bigger now amount new numbers out today from Trade Speaker 1: Intelligence. Our petty economy is now worth over ten billion round. That's a big number. Speaker 1: But it's growing at fifteen percent. That's last year's figure. I found that staggering. It seems to have happened quite quickly. Speaker 2: Yes, you know, it's been coming along for a while, and it's it's linked to Speaker 2: this trend of the humanization of pets, the fur babies, and if you think about Speaker 2: that, I mean the role that pets play in people's lives as almost like I Speaker 2: said, fur babies will almost body the family. Is driving some category growth, specifically on Speaker 2: premium products. There are more needs that are being addressed, you know, anything from treats Speaker 2: for pets, I mean allies and ice creams for dogs, all sorts of interesting things. Speaker 2: Also then expanding into wellness. So I think that has driven quite a bit of Speaker 2: the growth in the market. Speaker 1: And i'd imagine also pets looked after like that live a lot longer, and there Speaker 1: are so many more things that you can sell to someone with an older pet Speaker 1: than a younger one.
