Speaker 2: So much being discussed at the moment in South Africa, and I want to start Speaker 2: off by acknowledging what is busy going on in the country at the moment with Speaker 2: regards to the announcement of the thirtieth of June as a seismic pivotal date in Speaker 2: our immigration crisis debate. You know, when you are in a particular advantage point, you Speaker 2: may not necessarily see another side of a particular equation. I made it an effort Speaker 2: today to try and get in touch with all of my friends, colleagues and acquaintances Speaker 2: who are who are not South African nationals today to get a sense of what Speaker 2: their feelings are about this issue. Now, there are debates on all sides of this Speaker 2: particular issue, and. Speaker 1: That is. Speaker 2: A conversation we can have. But there is real fear out there, folks. There's real, Speaker 2: real fear out there. People are afraid. I've me as a South African, you know, Speaker 2: I'm talking about this stuff almost every day. Speaker 1: I look at the debates. Speaker 2: And I have my own opinions about this. But all of that aside, all of Speaker 2: that aside, there's fear out there, There's real fear. And I've got to admit and Speaker 2: acknowledge that I wasn't a fear. I wasn't aware of the existence of this fear, Speaker 2: particularly amongst foreign nation.
