Speaker 1: B. Speaker 2: Thompson. Good afternoon to you, and welcome to seven oh two Soulful Sunday. Speaker 3: Thank you for having me. I'm so glad I could be here. Speaker 2: Yeah, very very excited. I've been looking forward to catching up with you. I've experienced Speaker 2: a bit of your work and now I'm having that opportunity to sit down with Speaker 2: you and have a conversation. Your work is very special. You know, when people experience Speaker 2: your music for the first time, what do you hope they feel before they even Speaker 2: begin to think about technique or performance. Speaker 1: What I really wanted to feel is the emotion that comes from the music that Speaker 1: I play. I never spent a lot of time on a whole bunch of technical. Speaker 3: I mean, I did you know. Speaker 1: I studied a lot of technical things, studied classically in college, in high school and Speaker 1: stuff like that. But I really want people to feel the emotion that I'm playing, Speaker 1: because that's where it comes from for me. When I'm playing my instrument, It's just Speaker 1: it's an emotional experience for. Speaker 3: Me that I want my audience to tap into. Speaker 1: You know, later musicians will dissect all of the technical things and you know, the Speaker 1: skills on the instrument, but you know, that stuff is kind of secondary to me Speaker 1: and kind of you know, not primary in nature. So I really want them to Speaker 1: feel the emotion that comes out of the instrument. You know.
