MasterchefSA contestant trips up on the egg challenge

Speaker 1: This week, the challenges we were all about one of the most versatile and familiar Speaker 1: of ingredients in the kitchen, the humble egg. The contestants walked into the kitchen this Speaker 1: week to find black aprons and a two part challenge. If you did well in Speaker 1: the first part, you got a place on the gantry and would not need to Speaker 1: do the second part, which would see one home cook going home. Candice, Jishen and Speaker 1: Gululago were blessed by the egg gods and did not have to do the second Speaker 1: round. The remaining six cooks were now tasked with eating a dish that celebrates one Speaker 1: or more of the many wonders of eggs, from binding and lifting to emulsifying, setting Speaker 1: and starring on a plate. The dishes go in all kinds of directions, from light Speaker 1: and fluffy pancakes to poached eggs, meringues, ravioli, notachi, and bold flavor combinations.
