Speaker 1: Seven in Family Matters. Speaker 2: I want us to have a conversation on our family Matters feature this morning that Speaker 2: I've been thinking about a lot of late, and that's because I don't have a Speaker 2: child yet, but i have a younger sister, and I've got two nieces, and I've Speaker 2: just been reflecting on the relationship that I have with them, and because I'm that Speaker 2: uncle and that brother that just wants to spoil the kids, because I just love Speaker 2: children, I guess. And I've got a relationship with my sister that sometimes worries me Speaker 2: because I think about, Okay, what kind of a of a woman am I contributing Speaker 2: towards her becoming? And are we not insulating too much from the realities of life, Speaker 2: right, because I think many of us, especially first bonds, we have gone through so Speaker 2: much and we face struggles to a point that we don't want our siblings to Speaker 2: face the same struggles. So to speak. You're trying to create a world for them Speaker 2: where they're sort of insulated from some of the realities you've faced at their age. Speaker 2: But how beneficial is that for them? And that's really the reason and the purpose Speaker 2: of the conversation today is to look at what we do as adults, whether as Speaker 2: an older sibling, whether as a parent, as a grandparent, your intervention and relations with Speaker 2: your loved one, how does it benefit them minister as a resilience as concerned.
