Speaker 1: Ten minutes to fall. This weekend, Saturday and Sunday, we'll see the hosting of something Speaker 1: called the Jewish Festival of Dangerous Ideas. It is the project of an organization called Speaker 1: the Jewish Democratic Initiative, which describes itself as a group of South African Jews who Speaker 1: believe in social justice, pluralism, and a fairly negotiated resolution to the Israeli Palestinian conflict Speaker 1: involving all parties and inspired by South Africa's own negotiated settlement. There's a number of Speaker 1: speakers, international and South African contributors to the conversation, and the underlying theme is described Speaker 1: as how do Jews and Palestinians break free of the spiral of violence and find Speaker 1: peace.
