Speaker 1: Well, let's go straight back into the subject of severe weather, once again battering the Speaker 1: garden route in particular, highlighting the potential loss through flood damage, storms, trees falling over, Speaker 1: roads being impacted, etc. We keep on being told by those in the know that Speaker 1: we should expect more of this, that extreme weather events are likely to be more Speaker 1: frequent as climate patterns shift and become less predictable. And the question I want to Speaker 1: ask now is what does that mean for our ability to ensure our properties against Speaker 1: this kind of damage. We've already seen conversations like this happened after events like the Speaker 1: big fire in Saint Francis Bay a couple of years ago, where where homeowner has Speaker 1: just said we can't afford the risk of replacing a satch roof with more thatch, Speaker 1: where insurers started saying, if you're going to put thatch back, we are going to Speaker 1: charge you an arm and a leg to insure it, if indeed we will insure Speaker 1: it at all. Is that the potential situation we now face that anybody who is Speaker 1: building or buying a property on the side of a river within a fifty year Speaker 1: floodline for exact sample, might be told sorry, we can't ensure that property at all, Speaker 1: or is it only going to be at significant cost.
